Things You Probably Don't Know (About Me)

Image
Hello, lovelies!

I did a Q&A recently, but as I started thinking more, I realized there's a lot of small things that you probably don't know about me. Be they quirks or preferences, a lot of these are things you'd only know if you hung out with me in person for a while. But since that's not realistic via the interwebs, I figured I'd share them here.

1.) Cinnamon raisin toast is my enemy (and so is pulpy orange juice).

Okay, maybe that's a little harsh (sorry, toast). I've never enjoyed eating anything that's cinnamon raisin, be it a bagel or a piece of bread, but I realized that I absolutely cannot stand the smell of it. I'm extremely sensitive to certain smells, and they're one of those things that can give me a headache instantly. Something about the smell of this type of bread makes me feel sick to my stomach, and I have no idea why. I'm pretty sure I never had any childhood trauma with it, but who knows?

Also, if orange juice h…

Hello, lovelies!

If you're reading this from my blog directly and not from email notifications, you may notice that it looks quite a bit different than you're used to. Blogger recently launched some completely new templates that are very simplistic and lovely, and I'm giving this one a test run for a few weeks to see how I feel about it. I'd been pretty unhappy with how my blog has been looking for the past while, and I'm loving how modern it feels now.

Just so you know, all of my sidebar gadgets can be found if you click the three horizontal lines at the top left of you screen. A little thing shoot pop out of the side, and you can find things like my contact info and blogger profile on there as well. Right now my bog follower gadget isn't working, which is strange, but hopefully those kinks will get worked out in the near future.

On another exciting note, you can now SUBSCRIBE to my blog really easily. If you haven't seen it yet, there's a little butto…

Excerpts From A Book I'll Never Write

Image
Hello, lovelies!

Today's post was inspired by some things I've seen on Twitter and Pinterest, and I thought I'd do my own twist on those snippets here. If the title confuses you, don't worry. It'll make more sense in a moment. Basically these are a collection of snapshots of things I've learned from my own life, but instead of getting the full story, you'll just see a snapshot.

All of these little fragments could definitely be a part of a much larger book if I chose to write it, but these are all things that I will never turn into a full length story. They're excerpts, and that's where they'll stay.

"I never knew how different blue eyes could be until I looked from his to yours. Where his remind me now of barren skies and frigid winters alone, yours speak nothing but spring." - I wonder if you ever noticed too.

#AskSeana (#8): Guilty Pleasures, Ice Cream, and Time Travel

Image
Hello, lovelies!
First things first, I'm SO sorry that this post didn't make it up on Tuesday. It's been a very hectic week with Showcase coming up next weekend (which is the biggest concert/performance the singing group I'm a part of does), and I've got a lot of research papers and presentations to write up as well.
Excuses aside, I just want to say a BIG BIG thank you for everyone who sent in a question. I was honestly not expecting to have so many of you email me and DM me on Twitter, but all of you were so lovely and sweet when writing me. You are the ones who make blogging so worthwhile. (:
So without further ado, here we go!

Who is your celebrity crush? P.S. I LOVE your blog!

Aw, thanks so much! I'm so glad you like it. Anyway, my celebrity crush is definitely Eddie Redmayne. I first saw him in the Les Miserables movie, and I just thought he was so adorable and sweet (although maybe part of that was because he was playing the part of Marius). I'…

A New Q&A: COMING SOON!

Image
Hello, lovelies!

I just wanted to make a really quick post today to let you know that my next #AskSeana WILL be up this coming Tuesday! (I'm liking my Tuesday/Friday schedule, by the way, so expect posts on those days every week if all goes well.) I generally just hang on to questions that filter in slowly and then post when I have a healthy amount of them, but I figured I'd try doing them this way and see what happens.

**** These Q&A posts are COMPLETELY anonymous, so feel free to ask me personal questions or things that you've been wondering for a while and just want my input on. ****
To ask me a question, you can leave an anonymous comment below, DM me on Twitter, or send me an email. (The only thing I'd ask that you refrain from doing is commenting on my personal Instagram account, because that might be a little hard to explain to my school friends who follow me, haha.)

I look forward to hearing from you!

That is all.

Cheers,

I Can't Save You: A Poem

Hello, lovelies!

Today I have a poem to share with you. I was pretty much struck all at once with inspiration yesterday, and the rest is history. So I hope you enjoy it, and if you'd like to give feedback then feel free to leave me a comment. (:

"I Can't Save You."
I can't save you.
It's not that I don't want to--- Believe me, that's not it at all. I'm watching you drown, My feet held captive in the sand. But my hands can't reach far enough, And my legs can't run fast enough To pull you back from the waves.
I can't save you.
It's not that I'm not trying--- Believe me, that's not it at all. I can see you trapped in this maze, My hands pounding on the glass. But my voice can't yell loud enough, And my mind can't process quick enough To help you escape from the haze.
I can't save you.
It's not that I've given up--- Believe me, that's not it at all. I can feel your longing to be free; My heart is ac…

February Favorites (2017) + Scheduling Updates

Image
Hello, lovelies!

February is over, and it was definitely a whirlwind in terms of blogging. 28 straight days of blog posts kept me extremely busy, but I did have a lot of time to find new things to love. (Which is why this post is looooong.)

On another note, I've decided to scrap my three post a week blogging schedule in favor of a two post one. This is for two reasons: I need inspiration to blog, and also my classes keep me very busy with the amount of workload that's put on me. (And since it's my senior year, I'm desperately trying to maintain my high GPA to get college credit for next year in some classes.) I'll probably do either a Monday/Friday schedule, or maybe a Sunday/Wednesday sort of thing, but we'll see. I just don't want this blog to start falling back into the depths like it did for a while. (:
